Caty ("the App", "the Software") is developed and published by OÜ Catyonic, a company registered in Estonia (registry code 17463508), located at Madara tn 9a, 10612 Tallinn, Estonia.
Caty is a self-hosted messenger client. We provide the client software; you provide the server. Your messages, contacts, media, and encryption keys live on infrastructure you control — typically a virtual private server you rent from a third-party hosting provider of your choice. OÜ Catyonic does not operate any servers that process, store, or relay your communications.
We do not collect any data about the content of your communications or who you communicate with. Specifically:

We do not link this purchase data to your in-App activity. There is no account system connecting a purchase record to a Caty server or username — because we do not see Caty servers or usernames.
If you use our optional AI concierge or AI agent features to assist with server setup or software updates, your setup instructions and the commands you or the agent execute are transmitted to OÜ Catyonic's AI service for processing. This data is used solely to generate helpful responses and perform requested setup actions. It is not used to train AI models, sold, or shared with third parties beyond the AI infrastructure providers strictly necessary for operation. You may disable these features and complete setup manually at any time.
Caty runs on servers and infrastructure you choose. Your hosting provider, domain registrar, DNS provider, and internet service provider may collect their own data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them. If you download Caty from Apple App Store, Google Play, or other stores, those platforms may also collect data in accordance with their own policies:
The App itself does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
All communications data, encryption keys, and server configuration live on infrastructure you control. We operate no backend servers that store your communications data — there is nothing on our side to breach, leak, or disclose. Purchase and waitlist data is stored on infrastructure operated by OÜ Catyonic in the European Union, using industry-standard security measures.
Caty is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
